SARS-CoV-2 N501Y Mutasyon Tespit Kiti

It is predicted that SARS-CoV-2 Variant of Concern 202012/01 (VOC-202012/01), which is estimated to have emerged in the UK in 2020, increased the transmission rate of SARS-CoV-2 by approximately 70%. Of particular importance among other mutations of VOC-202012/01 is the N501Y mutation, which is located in the receptor binding motif (RBM) of the C-terminal domain (CTD) on the S gene and has been found to increase binding affinity to the human ACE2 protein. All genomes containing N501Y sequenced in the UK since September 2020 belong to VOC-202012/01. This UK experience suggests that a large increase in SARS-CoV-2 positive cases is expected in the future if the amount of VOC-202012/01 detected is increasing despite its low prevalence. 77% of the sequenced SARS-CoV-2 genomes containing the HV69-70 deletion are VOC-202012/01. However, screening only HV69-70 deletion in regions with low VOC-202012/01 prevalence is not decisive. The co-occurrence of N501Y and HV69-70del is specific to VOC202012 / 01 only and can be used for screening regardless of the prevalence of the variant.

It is possible with the SARS-CoV-2 N501Y Mutation Detection kit, which gives results in less than 40 minutes, to control the entry of VOC-202012/01 carriers into the country borders, to speed up the radiation studies and to create more specific quarantine conditions.

SARS-CoV-2 N501Y Mutation Detection Kit is a one-step reverse transcription and real-time PCR (RT-qPCR) test for rapid screening of VOC-202012/01-specific Spike N501Y and HV69-70del mutations in SARS-CoV-2 positive samples. .

The SARS-CoV-2 N501Y Mutation Detection Kit includes suspected cases of both VOC-202012/01 (N501Y and HV69-70del positive cases) and 501Y.V2 and P.1 variants (N501Y positive and HV69-70del negative cases) based on sequencing. It enables detection in significantly lower time and cost compared to technologies.
